Last updated: 29 October 2026 ExpoHand (expohand.ae) is a website that gives people virtual access to UAE trade exhibitions: exhibition pages, floor maps, exhibitor booth pages and recorded booth videos. ExpoHand is operated by [Hazem Hamdy], an individual based in the United Arab Emirates (“ExpoHand”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. We aim to follow the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). 1. Who this applies to Visitors: anyone browsing the site. You do not need an account to browse. Exhibitors: people who register an exhibitor account, and companies whose booths appear on the site. 2. What we collect a) Exhibitor account registration When you register we collect your first and last name, email address, company name, WhatsApp number and a password (stored in encrypted form, never in plain text). We use this to create and activate your account, to verify that you represent the exhibitor, and to contact you about your account. b) Exhibitor and booth information that is published Exhibitor pages show business information such as company name, logo, booth number, industry, description, business contact details (phone, email, WhatsApp, website, social links), and a recorded booth video. This information is shown publicly on the exhibitor’s page and nowhere else on the site. If you want your page corrected or removed, contact us (see section 9) and we will act on it. c) Visit and interaction data (all visitors) To understand how the platform is used, and to give exhibitors visit statistics, we record events such as: which exhibition and booth pages are viewed, floor map views, video plays, and clicks on a booth’s contact links (WhatsApp, phone, email, website, social media). Each event is stored with the time and, to count unique visitors, a random identifier stored in your browser. We combine that identifier with a secret value on our server so that we do not store it in readable form. We do not record your name or email address in these events, and we do not record events for logged-in administrators. The statistics shown to exhibitors count visits to ExpoHand pages. They are not event attendance numbers. “Unique visitors” means unique browsers or devices, not unique people. An exhibitor can see exhibition-wide totals, and only a verified exhibitor can see the detailed statistics of their own booth. d) Third-party analytics We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand site traffic and usability. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect your IP address, device and browser information, pages visited and, for Clarity, anonymised session recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used. This data is used by us only for improving the site and is not shown to exhibitors. e) Videos Booth videos are hosted on YouTube and embedded in our pages. When you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. f) Emails We send system emails such as your account activation link and password reset. These are sent through our hosting provider’s email service. 3. Why we use your data To run the platform and display exhibitions, booths and videos. To create, activate and secure exhibitor accounts and verify booth ownership. To provide visit statistics to exhibitors and to improve the site. To respond to your messages and requests. To prevent abuse, such as bots and fraud. We process your data based on your consent (for example when you register, or accept analytics) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the platform, to the extent the law allows. 4. Who we share data with We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site: our web hosting and email provider (Hostinger), Google (Analytics and YouTube) and Microsoft (Clarity). Public booth information is visible to anyone who visits the site. We may disclose data if required by UAE law or by a competent authority. 5. Transfers outside the UAE Some of the providers above store or process data outside the UAE. By using the site you understand that your data may be processed in other countries, and we choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards. 6. How long we keep data Exhibitor account data: for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time. Visit and interaction events: up to 24 months, after which they may be deleted or aggregated. Published exhibitor pages: kept as part of the exhibition archive until you ask us to correct or remove them. 7. Cookies The site uses essential cookies (for example, to keep you logged in) and analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop login from working. 8. Your rights Under the PDPL you may, subject to the law, ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to certain processing; and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise a right, email us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the UAE Data Office. 9. Contact For any privacy question or request, email privacy@expohand.ae with the subject “Privacy request”. Please include the email address of your account if you have one. 10. Children ExpoHand is a business-oriented platform and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. 11. Security We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords, restricted access to statistics, and secure connections (HTTPS). No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. 12. Changes to this policy We may update this policy as the platform grows. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered exhibitors by email.
